Our two teen boys are bared from the waist all the way down including socks (if they're wearing any) in preparation for the spanking. They are responsible for the baring and know well the importance of cooperation at this juncture.

Mom delivers a lecture during the baring intended to both instruct and to humble as the anticipation of the Rod Of Correction rises and finally takes form in the palms of her hands, our leather paddle, and the occasional slipper or sandal.

This practice has worked well for us since they were young lads, the only difference being that we forego corner time now that they're older and allow them to return to their rooms afterward to reflect on the event.
