As I noted in my introduction, discipline in our house varies. Sometimes they feed off each other's naughty behavior, and we must deal with both. Mutual deviant behavior often ends with a sore behind. I would say that even though Melissa is the oldest, she earns more spankings.
I am the head of the house, so I tend to spank more for correction. Cindy tends to be more lenient but does not hesitate to punish when needed.

We have a routine that includes either being sent or escorted to the bedroom for punishment. Or to the bathroom for a taste of soap if needed.
A trip to the bedroom will include a brief lecture. Each girl has a desk chair, referred to as their spanking chair. We also have a spanking chair in our bedroom.
After the spanking, it's straight to bed regardless of the time of day. If it's still daytime, they stay in bed until they are told they can rejoin the family. After supper, it's bedtime.

We tell them they need to take their time in bed after a spanking to think about what just happened to them, how to avoid it in the future, and be prayerful in asking God for guidance in preventing the behavior that prompted this event. There is also copious rear-end rubbing going on.

We do not believe in public spankings. In today's world, spanking is so controversial we prefer to avoid the problem. We usually will take the misbehaving girl aside and tell them they need to improve their behavior, or there will be an attitude adjustment when we get home. Around our house, attitude adjustments mean a spanking—every time.
It works well for us.

Our church has no dedicated spanking room. But there are enough classrooms and meeting rooms that can be used if needed. Cindy has more experience with that than I do.
