I’m Mike, 33 year old single uncle of Donnie who is 13. My sister, his mom, is a single mom and has asked me to support her in his upbringing. We were both raised in a Christian family, and were spanked (and I later received the belt, while she later received hairbrush paddlings).
My sister started hand spankings for Donnie just before his 5th birthday and I witnessed many of those. I first spanked him when he was 7 years old. I live alone on the family farm where my sister and I grew up. She and Donnie live in town about 10 miles away. She continues to give him hand spankings at home and occasional hairbrush paddlings, and occasionally feels the need to bring him to me, for me to use a strap.
Our church is very supportive of corporal discipline for children and, while it isn’t often “preached from the pulpit,” it is encouraged and is known to be quite common.
I look forward to reading of others who use corporal discipline for their children, in a Christian environment.
