Hiding accidents, skid marks, not doing chores, poor hygiene, and a temper tantrum or two landed him diapers for a couple of months. Diapers gives us more control and time together. Changing time is great for reviewing behavior, talking, cuddling, or disciplining if necessary.

The first week is always the hardest. He eventually accepts it. A few weeks into DD he saw Paw Patrol Luvs at the grocery store and begged for them. He was excited to wear them later that day. I knew he accepted DD at that point (don’t misunderstand me, he still didn’t want to wear them).

We did potty training the last two weeks before school started again. He wore Pull-Ups, and had a chart with rewards just like a toddler. He got his underwear back when school started. So far accident free!
