Subject: Bien Hoa tet 68 Eddie S Nigh

I need some help here. Our History book lists Eddie S Nigh as the recipient of the Silver Star for his actions based on a story written by LtCol Miller. I searched various web sites about the Silver Star and can not find his name listed on them. I need help from the guys there who might be able to help me with my search.

The SF Museum maintains a Hall of Honor listing those members who have been awarded the Bronze Star w/V and higher, Eddie Nigh is not listed there because we can not verify the award. What we need is a copy of his Special Orders and the citation narrative with seal, a DD 214 showing the award would also be helpful. If you happen to have your special orders with his name included in the order number that would be helpful.

When you visit the museum this October stop by and read the awards rolls, I know there may be others that were missed , we need to get our brothers the public recognition they deserve.

Best,
Ken Neal
