Good info, Don.

Everybody needs to know that merely being exposed to Agent Orange does NOT qualify for any compensation. The Claimant must be diagnosed with one of the illnesses, which are presumed to have been caused by Agent Orange.

Don't be surprised at the wide span of ratings applied to various AO illnesses. For example, Ischemic Heart disease will almost always be rated at 100% (especially if the Veteran has an implanted defibrillator/Pacemaker). On the other hand, a Prostate cancer may initially be rated at 100% and then be reduced to 20% after completion of treatment and a period of zero cancer presence on CAT Scans. Hearing loss may be rated at 10% but 0% compensation, if the condition is corrected with hearing aids. Still, that 10% will be factored in your overall rating, if other disabilities have been rated.

I highly recommend all of my Brothers become intimately familiar with Title 38, CFR, Book C, Part 4 (https://benefits.va.gov/WARMS/bookc.asp#l). This is "The Bible" for determining disability ratings.
