Subject: Malcolm McMillin ,Da Nang-Pleiku, 65'-66,' Memorial

Malcolm's wife Delores & all the Family want to thank all of the following for their thoughts and prayers :Jim Gish, Pete Piazza,Terry Sask, Gary Walters, Brian Weber, Larry Bowling,John Risse,Don Poss & Kenny O'Dell. For those who served with Malcolm ,the Family certainly understands that the Funeral was scheduled at a very difficult time for people to travel(the day after Christmas)so I thought I would just give you my account of the Service. The church was packed with people from every walk of life . The Law Enforcement community was well represented by the Police Departments & Sheriff's Departments of Jackson ,Vicksburg, Natchez and surrounding areas .Malcolm served five four year terms as Sheriff of Hinds County .For those of you who knew him, "Mac" was bigger than life .He had a tremendous sense of humor and human understanding .He strongly believed in giving people a second chance .He ran the jail & County Farm in a firm ,just and compassionate manner .He was well respected and loved and will be missed by many including me.
Thank you for remembering him !
John Paul , LM396, Bien Hoa-Pleiku , 65'-66'
