Subject: Nine & Three Shift

Until I cross trained out of the cops most of my five years in were spent on 9&3 shifts. After finding a New Air Force don't know how guys stayed in for a full 20 on that schedule. To me swing shift was the worst. It starts in the hottest part of the day. You can never go to sleep right after you get off. Most places are closed, even TV is off back in 67. The best movies at the base theater play when your on swings. Also the shift change between swings and mids is usually a training day, so much for a 24hour break. Glad to have worked Phantom at CRB where Happy Hour started at 6 AM.
