Subject: Defender Death

Today, I had the sad occasion to attend the visitation for SrA Sebastian J. Jenkins, 823rd BDS (Safeside), Moody AFB, GA. The family, as would be expected, is grieving deeply, over their loss. I spoke with his Father and he permitted me to place a Safeside Challenge coin in the casket. I placed it gently on his folded hands and rendered a salute, as I thanked him for his service.
It is always tragic to lose a Brother or Sister-in-Arms, but to lose one, so young (23 yrs), is even more tragic.
Rest in eternal peace, Brother.
