that's where you take a packet of onion soup mix (the dry stuff)and mix it with 1/2 a teaspoon each of paprika and curry powder and a cup of cold water and bring to the boil, stirring, till thick. Then add 2 cups of grated cheese (I just use a mild cheedar type as that is what I usually have in the house), stir till cheese melts then when coolish spread it on bread with the side crusts cut off, roll them up, spray with a butter substitute (or lightly brush with butter) pack tightly in a tin that will hold them and pop them under the grill turning till evenly golden brown.

This is (obviously) not an exact science and leaves a lot of room to make it to you own flavour preference re the seasonings but the basic concept is good, filling and tasty and pretty simple to achieve although the do need to be reheated or grilled at the last moment to ensure crispness. Something that I think kids and adults both might enjoy. :)
