I think we just change as we go along. Just prior to Christmas I decided that the couch and armchairs needed to be covered so I put covers over them but then I went and made a great big bow to stick in the middle of the two seater. I've seen things like that out and about but my guys were totally horrified, Daniel refused to sit there! (Suited Piper as she had decided that it was a seat fit for a "princess" LOL). None of this lasted very long (I suspect sabotage in fact! ;) but it satisfied me for a time... but not so long back I would never have indulged in anything so "foofoo" (as I referred to it *G*). I say go for it Ellie - if it suits you and makes you feel good right then! And if it hasn't cost a lot... all the better. Actually I've been thinking about exploring some op shops and the like, I'm not too proud to pick up a bargain! I know Marlene picks up terrific toys for Mack in them, my sister got a lovely big, brand new looking bath mat to cover Sam's foam bed at work for about $3.00 I think.... loads of things in places like that. Another thing she recently found in a second hand store was some Boxer statues - I am VERY envious of that last find! I have a major problem when we have inorganic collections here... I have nearly driven off the road several times trying to see what everyone else classes as junk, LOL, ...well, the things that people throw out - it is amazing! Have they never heard of repair and recycle?
