Subject: When we have inorganic "rubbish" collections here
In reply to: Marlene 's message, "My neighbor came out with me" on 19:50:12 02/10/02 Sun

...I am a DANGER on the road! We have them every six months and I drive along nearly running over the kerb going "Ohhhh... look at that, why are they throwing THAT out... stop, STOP...... I NEED that" (the last is if Andrew is driving but he never does stop, LOL. I *know* that stuff is not junk, I *know* there are valuable things being thrown out!

Actually it is true that people get rid of the strangest things sometimes when they are in that "Must Clean Out" frame of mind and Andrew has been caught out a couple of times. One was a wonderful lawnmower that he drove past in a pile of stuff, looked at but thought "naaah" (same type as ours but the next size up). A couple of hours later our neighbour turned up with it in the back of his car, took it out, added some gas, fired it up and has been using it EVER SINCE! Poor Andrew... hee, hee! And I won't mention the freezer that would have been *just* right for where we want a small fishbait/dog food freezer... nope I will NOT talk about that one! LOL.
