I really hope it will make a difference, that whole situation just seems so bad to me - childrens lives are at risk after all and drowning can happen far more quickly than I think a lot of people realise. Many years ago when I was just a child myself (maybe around 11 or 12) we were camping at a place with a largish heated pool and it was packed one early evening with swimmers and right in the centre of all these people were two boys who were drowning. One would grab the other and the other would grab the first one in an attempt to haul their heads above water and no one but me noticed. I hauled them over to the edge of the pool but the memory of that has always stayed with me. Right in the MIDDLE of a CROWDED swimming pool kids have the potential to drown. Very scary stuff. We have a lot of "Stay Water Wise" campaigns down here these days in recognition of the fact that we are an island country and nearly everyone considers water sports and leisure activities a part of their everyday life.

Hope your wise words make a real difference up there with you!
