My parents had a similar attitude to Kris's parents. Their only other credo was that to learn all you could about your intended "path", the good, the bad and the ugly so that you would hopefully have an idea of the roadblocks you could face!!!!!

In Daniel's case before he gets too "into" the idea would there be a way for him to meet some active drivers that can give him some of the downside to driving, not just the glamorous side seen on TV??? Might not change his mind but would give him the "big picture"!!!

Hugs on raising such an intellitent, inquisitive son. It does sound if he is ahead of his time!!! Kudos!!!
