Glad you like it :) now, just hope it works Ok!!

Ok - an infusion is like a tea - where you take the actual plant and extract it's properties by either steeping (normally with soft leaf material) or sometimes boiling (harder type of materials or a stronger brew needed for a particular "potion" *cackle*). You need, in effect, a strong brew of marjoram (or herb of choice) for this polish - pour 350ml of boiling water over your herb of choice (probably around 2 - 3 tsps of dry or a couple (or 3) of tablespoons if using fresh) and leave it to steep for around 20 minutes and you'll get a good strong brew (much stronger than drinking tea would be made). Cover it during steeping to retain the oils that the boiling water will extract from the plant.

An essential oil is the actual oil (the active principle) of the plant that has been seperated by a variety of processes into pure oil, it IS what makes the plant what it is, it is like crushing the plant and squeezing out the oil contained within it and discarding everything else. It is very strong, smells strongly of the plant, is not to be taken internally or, generally speaking, to be applied neat externally either. In this instance you would only need to use it if you wanted to make your polish smell stronger BUT if you don't want to (or can't make) the infusion adding essential oil to the same quantity of cool water will achieve the same thing. :) Now you're going to ask me how many drops right? LOL, I don't know.... till it smells good to you ;) - you can always add a little extra even after it's made if you like. :)

Good Luck!!!
