A couple of questions, how old are the horses and how many? The reason for this question is two-fold. I am aware that here in the U.S. there are "places" - schools and/or farms that will take your donated horses and use them for different programs (handicapped children, pony rides, etc.). Many a horse that has lost his "usefulness" has found a happy home in this type situation. The second reason for the question is how can she legally write in her will that the horses will be shot? Who would do the shooting? I realize that I'm taking this outside of the emotional issue, but the legalities of this situation kind of boggle my little pea brain. Have you researched any of your laws on this type of matter? Have their been any precedents set?

Wishing you the best of luck in this terrible situation!
