There have been times when I have met an acquaintance after a few months or a year of not seeing them and wanted to ask - but have always kept my mouth shut for just that very reason! Only once in my life have I actually offended someone in that manner and I will never do it again! a friend of mine had just had her baby and was at the grocery store (with out the baby) and I looked at her with a very puzzled expression and asked when she was due... Open mouth, insert both feet.... Never again!
