But here in the states we have people that work for the health department that do home visits. My mom isn't a nurse, but she's a home health aide. That means for a small amount of money (whatever the person can afford) paid to the county, she comes in and cleans, gives baths, prepares meals, helps with therapy, goes shopping and things like that. If you had something like that available it would be wonderful. As for the vacuuming - that's absolutely true. I've talked my dad into using one crutch to hold the weight on his bad side when vacuuming. Not only is it stressful on the back, but you rock your weight from one leg to the other.
