The show was in its prime during seasons 3 through 5. There were some kickass episodes in there. There were some good episodes in season 6, but that season also featured Diana Fowley. Ick. Season 7 definitely was in decline. I'm in the middle of season 8 and can't believe how much crap Doggett had to put up with from Scully. She was arrogant and downright nasty toward him. And you know I'm a big Scully fan.

On the other hand, I haven't watched these episodes nearly as much as the earlier ones, so it's almost like it's all new. Even in its decline, it still beats most tv shows (not Battlestar Galactica, though).
