Certainly were different than the later ones. My favorite is season 3 and 5. Although I have favorite eps in every season. Even the later ones!

As with most of us old time philes, I have been watching the series too - am up to season 7. I like this one as both Mulder and Scully are happier. Other than the major brain surgery - or maybe thats why Mulder seems happier?

And Kande is right, it still beats out most TV shows on today.
