Author: Kande's Sis, reporting for the family
Subject: Getting to Sioux City to start RAGBRAI Tomorrow
In reply to: Rabid, eager to catch up on the day I missed 's message, "MY JOURNEY ON A BIKE IN AMERICA - DAY 4 & 5 by Kande Rae" on 17:47:27 07/21/01 Sat

Dad picks up his journal and sighs. He'd gone back to the bike path early in the morning and scraped up that baby opossum and actually served Kande opossum quiche for breakfast in the hopes it would get rid of her. No such luck. Not realizing what she was eating, she's now developed a craving.

"Yum, Dad," Kande said, smacking her lips after downing the entire quiche without sharing, as usual. "You can make that every morning."

Picking up his journal, Dad begins to detail the day:

'The ride to Sioux City was grueling. 10 people in the van, and Kande singing "Pie, pie miss American pie" the entire time without even knowing 9/10's of the words! Not to mention what we all had to tolerate when her non-meat eating stomach tried to digest the opossum meat.

"Oops!" Kande kept trilling out.

We all rode around in Sioux City for awhile, with Kande continually aggragating the "Pittsburgh Pedal Pushers" group by throwing bricks at them. Fortunately for them, and unfortunately for an unusually large amount of lurking opossums, she's been killing opossums right and left. Looks like we have plenty for breakfast for the next few days.

We're staying at the Boy's and Girl's home tonight. Kande's been initiating a riot among all the juvenile delinquents with wild tales of police and social worker brutality. The rest of us have locked ourselves in our room and are listening to the pipe bombs go off in the bathrooms. Will this week ever end?'

...Outside the group home, Sheriff Opossum meets with a large group of animals. He gestures towards the Boys and Girl's home. "Word has it, the murderer has locked herself in there and is inciting the mobs towards more bloodshed." He bows his head. "Today we lost 10 of our best opossum spies to that brick-throwing maniac."

The crowd of animals gasps. A large jersey cow in the back speaks up "I notice she was wearing leather shoes too. A cow gave up her life for those shoes!"

The Sheriff nods. "We suspect she's killing opossums for a fur coat. She must be stopped!"

....Meanwhile, back at Shipperville...KS is sitting with the Mayor in the klub eating corn-on-the-cob. She motions towards a group of fliers on the table. "These came into the police office today. Stardoe wanted me to show them to you."

The Mayor picks one up. It shows a frontal view and side view of Kande's face. AT the top it says "Wanted for the death of 11 Opossums."

"What in the world is she up to NOW?" the Mayor groans.
