Meanwhile, the crowd ran out into the street after Sandy who now has a big lead. "I'll take care of her" thought CW as she ran home to get her tranquilizer rifle. "I bet I can get the crowd to chase her into my back yard where she will be cornered" she said to nobody in particular.

Running out into the street, the crowd and dog coming at her, she pointed to the open backyard gate. JD saw the whole scenario and sprinted ahead to try to turn the determined Sandy. "I can't fire now--I might hit somebody" she screamed at the crowd "get that dog into my backyard. The 10 foot fence should stop her and we can get that poor animal back for the wake!"

However hard they tried, that darn dog just kept running past JD, CW and the gate. "Split up--half of you go after Sandy and chase her around the block again, the other half stay here and form a human fence" he ordered in his manly, no-nonsense manner. "We will get that hamster back!"
