"Is this the latest fashion in Shipperville?" one exec asks KS, gesturing to the blinding white tee shirt, cami's, and steel-toed boots KS is wearing today.

"Only if you can carry it off," KS tells her smugly. The other execs, dressed in identical pinstriped suits, all nod vigorously and write something down on their notepads. One exec puts down her notebook and takes off her suitcoat to reveal a white tee shirt. KS rolls her eyes at her and gives her head a half-shake. The exec hastily puts the suitcoat back on while blushing furiously.

"You know, there was a craze last year for strong female leads," the same exec tells KS slowly, peering at her over her half-glasses. KS just looks bored and pretends to stare at something over the horizon. The exec loses her train of thought as she tries to see what KS is looking at. All she sees are some trees swaying in the wind and a takhi wandering loose.

"Do you have any thoughts on the kinds of shows you'd like to see?" the exec presses on. "Any books you've read that you think would interpret well for a TV show?"

KS looks excited. "Miss Read!" she blurts out. The gang who has been listening to all this at the window of KS's Victorian house look puzzled. All except Rabid who immediately gets even paler than usual.

"Oh no! She's trying to turn us all into blue-haired old ladies!" Rabid tells the rest as she leaps over Det who has been napping on the floor. She rushes for the door but it's too late, the copycat execs are already vigorously writing in their notebooks and nodding as KS explains about Miss Read with lavish hand gestures.
