Arienne watched with a sad smile on her face. He was so bloody... They all were covered in the red fluid. Bile rose in the back of her throat- blood was not something she was fond of, though before the landslide, it hadn't bothered her. Blood meant death, or at least injury; and both were bad, from her perspective. But she began to reach out to Thorn anyways, willing to shake his hand. When he drew his hand back, however, she did as well.

She noticed Aiko's fear of Thorn, and something occured to her: murder. Was it murder? Llywd, did you see Thorn kill the girl? The answering emotions were negative- no, Thorn was not a murderer. The blue sent Arienne the images of what he had observed, while his eyes took on a yellowish-white hue. The scene, what little of it the 'lizard had witnessed, replayed itself in the girl's mind. It was just the ending, but Arienne could understand what had happened.

Her hands suddenly felt clammy and cold. She snuggled them into the sand, but that didn’t seem to help. As it was useless, and the position was uncomfortable, Arienne took her hands out, and folded them in her lap.
