"The Bathroom, fixing my burnt out light bulbs, replacing mirrors correctly, you know..just about everything."
Zara smiled a bit, leaning agaisnt the door frame of her bedroom. She was finally in a decent set of clothing....a pair of hip hugging,end-fringged daisy dukes and a white polo, tied just above her stomach. Thogh...for most woman it would seem a bit lude, but considering what Zara was often seen wearing, it was almost like..lazy-rolled-out-of-bed, sunday afternoon attire. her skin, clieaned, haier it's usual crystaline white again. She had made good use of the fixed shower.
She was still bare foot though, and padded gently over to the bed and leaned over Lance, playfully flicking his ear. "Hm. You did good, Lance. Despite what you do in your own Lab, you make a good house maid, you know that?" She easily ignored the apparent hurt look on the man's face, and stood, hugging herself gently. Her yellow eyes were calm, yet warm, it was quite odd to see this once exotic stripper in an almost homey repose. "Unfortunatly, I do not have any money at the moment to pay you for anything you have done. And I would very much like to give you something in return for helping me." She couldn't help but chuckle, ushering a hand at him in such amanner. "I mean, more then I have already given, obviously."
The white haired female turned softly, and turned exited the room, a flick of a switch causing the lights to switch on in her living room and kitchen. Zara looked abotu gently, beofre moving to open the curtains, to see a star filled night sky outside. Turning again, she picked up a remote and fliced on her fixed stereo system, a soft song titled 'Aoi Hitomi' resonated softly within the spacious, almost house like third floor apartment, accompanied by delicate chords of violins, pianos and harps. Zara smiled to herself....it had been so long since she let this song play again.
Then, an idea struck her, and she hopped over to her kithen and rumaged through it, taking out various ingredients. "Hey Lance? How about I cook us a bit of somethign to eat, then we can catch up on what's been happening these past two years." She stopped moving momentarily, as a scar burned into the bottom of her forearm caught her eye...and she narrowed her gaze a bit, before resuming, in a meloncholy tone. "I'm sure...you have a few questions you would like answered...."
Andin the background, playign against the soft lights and long burning scent of cucumber-vanillia incense, the words of the song hummed delicately about.
