Lance stretched. It had been a LONG time since he did that. Though he couldn't recall much of it. He guessed his system was too out of use to fully enjoy it. He chuckled as he finally rolled out of the bed and washed his face.
He steped into the living room during the main verse of the song. "Well, the last two years have been pretty good for me." Lance sat down and listened to the song play for a moment then continued, "After all the hulabalo of your last visit blew over, I finished repairing my lab. During the repairs I came up with a new temporary wall subsistance. Made up of some of that sticky stuff you saved me from remember?"
Zara chuckled (which was something he'd never heard before), "Yeah I remember. What shall we eat?"
Lance smiled, "Well, I believe there's some salad fixings in there, and some chicken breasts. I'm not sure if you were a meat eater or not. So I got a bit of everthing. I couldn't identify some of the stuff you had in there!"
They shared a brief laugh as Zara continued to rumage and Lance continued, "Well, that temporary wall foam along with my netcaster and improved bio bed inventions have all been patented and sold to different companies. Now I don't go around chasing bounty heads at all. I basically just put around in my lab and relax. I make a decent amount of money now honestly, but I still stay in contact with Guy and some of the seedier elements, just to stay informed you understand. That's how I found out about you after all."
Lance looked up at Zara as she set out the food. Her lithe form moving effortlessly. She seemed out of place in a kitchen, and Lance was forced to look at her in a new light. He chuckled in spite of himself, if he could change as many times as he had, why not her? Lance sat back and looked out at the night sky, "I'm really glad I listened to guy. I must remember to thank him. Speaking of thanks, don't bother paying me back. I get bulk discounts on such repair supplies, so I had most of this in stock." Lance chuckled again and smiled continuing to look outside.
