not a single individual for one. secondly intelligence is not detailisticly defined. rather, there are various aspects of intelligence which are well and properly defined.

no.

mathematical understanding is considered to be only one aspect of intelligence, and is by no means a requirement for a high intelligence.

"need", no.

no.

why do anything at all? people want to KNOW. IQ tests
are quite efficient at roughly determining a person's intelligence, and this is interesting for the people themselves, aswell as for research studies (psychology)

yes. allthough not absolutely.

or rather is it a tool used

no.

as i explained, yes. IQ tests are not based on math alone. a person who does horribly in math, but does excellently in other areas, could have an incredibly high IQ.

probably not, as all humans discern relationships between shapes. it is a basic requirement for perception, and perception is the sole cause of the evolution of intelligence and creativity (90% of perception is creativity, rather than senses)

this is nonsense. english skills are not neccesary for intelligence nor are they part of an IQ test, what we mean with linguesticial intelligence is the abilitity to not only quickly learn and understand languages, but understand them at a much more complex level, being able to utilize them to a point where ordinary people can not.

not really. this is a common myth employed by the general public, this is however just an excuse for those who are not satisfied with their intelligence in order to feel good about themselves that somehow IQ doesn't mean anything, when it reality, it means quite a lot.
