One thing is the reactivation of dryed up streams and giving back waters ability to be absorbed or make allowances for flooding. A lot of these things have been overlooked as how things are built or put together make it worst not better. Another example of how much money can be made instead of how wisely land is used. Where I live it is just getting worse all the time. There are rules about everything and none of them make sense interms of natural landmanagement.
