I haven't been watching season nine, but are you saying that Doggett and Reyes are *already* at the stage of their relationship, midway through their second season working the X-Files together, that it took Mulder and Scully almost seven seasons to achieve??
If Doggy and Annoying Smiling Agent have been doing the Naked Pretzel - or even just shared a passionate smooch - that seems a blatant slap in the face to all of us who were forced to wait such a long, *LONG* time to see similar behavior between Mulder and Scully. (And were always being told by CC and Company that "The X-Files" wasn't "about" the personal relationship between the two agents who investigated the cases.)
If all you're saying is that they're beginning to make goo-goo eyes at each other, or do the occasional kiss on the forehead or three-second handclasp stuff, I guess that's okay. (I mean, it makes me *really* glad that I'm not watching, because watching Robert Patrick make goo-goo eyes at *anybody* is not something I want to see, but at least it wouldn't be such an insult to those of us who watched the show primarily for the MSR.)
