Well when we were done with our act we decided to go get something to drink. The guys still had to to their act so we had to come back to watch them. I told them I was going to the bathroom and would catch up with them. While they were gettin some water from the machine this girl pumped into Nay Nay.
Nay Nay: Damn excuse you.
Girl1: Yeah my fault.
Von: That's why she said excuse you.
Girl2: It don't even concern you.
Nay Nay: Whateva. Anywayz Chelle, Von let's go.
Von: Aiightz, you comin Chelle?
Girl3: My name is not Chelle. I don't even go to this camp. I go to the cheerleading camp across the lake we just came here to see the guy cabins in their acts.
Nay Nay: Y'all ain't from this camp so y'all shouldn't even be here.
Von: Fo' real. Go back to your "Go team Go" camp, like okay?
Girl3: Yo let's go before I have to hurt one of these girls.
Nay Nay: No you better go before we hurt y'all.
Girl1: Anywayz.
The 3 girls walked off towards the outside arena and I walked up behind Nay Nay and Von.
Me: Y'all ready to go back to see the guys perform?
Von: Girl the strangest thing happened. We saw this girl that looks just like you. Do you got a twin?
Me: A twin? Say what? Naw girl, I only have an older sister that's 21. And Erika isn't really mt sister she's my lil cousin's sister but I claim her as my sister.
Nay Nay: Yo you sure? Cuz I'm so serious this girl looked exactly like you.
Me: Yeah I'm sure. I think I would know if I had a twin or not. Let's go see the guys cuz y'all is buggin fo real.
Von: Aiight come on.
We walked back over to the outside arena and sat down. When we got there Lib, Zane, and Haze were just going up. We cheered and waited for them to do they thing. Turns out Lib was singing while Zane and Haze were rappin. Lib was singing "Let's Get Married", Zane rapped the part that was in the remix and Luda rapped a verse from Nas' "You Won't See Me Tonight" with Lib singing some of it. When they were done we stood up and cheered like crazy. Cuz of course we thought they were the best act since they were the only act we had seen. Plus Lib and Zane were Nay Nay and Von's men so we had to cheer for them.
Nay Nay: You guys did good.
Lib: So did y'all. I didn't know y'all good blow like that.
Von: Well you know we do try.
Me: Actually it just comes naturally. You know we are the best.
Nay Nay: Ri ri. [laughs] I just wish they'd announce them tonight. I'd go to sleep a lot easier.
Zane: Girl you always say that but the cabin that you're in always wins. So don't even sweat it.
Von: Really Nay Nay. Girl we got this.
Me: Fo sho we do. So let's just go. Cuz I'm bout to get cranky.
We walked back to our cabin. Lashonda wasn't in there so the guys came in. They could come in as long as we didn't do anything we shouldn't be doing. But since we were older we knew better. Well some of us did. Zane and Von kept kissin each other.
Me: Y'all betta stop before LaShonda come back and catch y'all.
Lib: Then y'all gon be in some serious trouble. Cuz you know Shonda don't play that.
Zane: Man do we ever get caught?
Haze: There was one time when y'all did but y'all weren't doin nothin that would get y'all in trouble.
Von: We ain't gonna get caught.
They did that for another 15 minutes. LaShonda was walking up the walkway and stopped to yell something to one of the other counselers.
LaShonda: Terri make sure you come by so we can go to the arts & crafts building together!
Terri: Aiight girl! 'Night!
LaShonda: 'Night!
When she walked in Zane, Lib, and Haze were all sitting on one bed and we were sitting across from them on another. We all turned and smiled at her.
LaShonda: Hey guys.
Us: Hi LaShonda.
LaShonda: Y'all think y'all slick. I know y'all was in here doin somethin.
Nay Nay: Now you know we're the good kids so we ain't doin nothin that we not supposed to.
LaShonda: Uh huh. I was 16, 17, 18, and 19 at one point. That was almost 6 years ago so don't go there with me.
Me: See we wasn't even doin nothin.
LaShonda: Uh huh. It's almost 12:30am don't you guys think you should be gettin back to your cabin?
Zane: Yeah it is bout that time.
Von: We'll walk you guys out.
LaShonda: And make it quick. We have a full day in head of us.
Me: What we doin?
LaShonda: You'll just have to see in the morning now what you? 'Night guys.
Guys: Bye.
We walked them outside and stood around talking for a few minutes.
Zane: So I'll just see you tomorrow, aiight?
Von: Aiight baby. Bye.
Zane: Bye. [they kiss]
Lib: I'll see you tomorrow too, boo.
Nay Nay: Aiight. Bye boo boo. [they kiss]
Lib: Bye.
Me: Bye you guys.
H/L/Z: See ya Chelle.
We turned to go back towards the cabin Nay Nay went in first and Von followed. I stopped to pick up a flower.
Zane:[whispering to Haze] Man say somethin to her now. She probably thinkin you regreted kissin her so she ain't say nothin to you.
Haze: Yeah just like she ain't look at me or make eye contact with me.
Lib: Will you just go? Stop actin like you scared of talkin to her.
Haze: Damn aiight I'm goin. But if she don't talk to me I'ma kick someboy's ass.
Zane: Your own? We'll see you at the cabin man.
Lib and Zane walked off. Leaving Luda there alone with me. I just stood there looking at the flower. I thought the guys had left.
Haze: Chelle?
Me:[startled] Huh? Oh it's you, what's up?
Haze: Nothin I just wanted to talk to you about earlier.
Me: Oh what about earlier?
Haze:........
