- How long, I wonder, 'fore anyone notices this? Who knows..after all, no one ever comments on any of the writings here. Silly monkeys, you ought to. -- Collie, 14:52:53 05/01/03 Thu
Farewell to Broken Arms (Curtis' Song)
I can parody your idea of angst
You wanna kill you so you show yourself how
parody your idea of angst
But does it even matter your brains's upside down.
your idea of angst
A wingspan of scars over my arms
idea of angst
Mingled with your bad-luck charms
Chorus: Bronchitous
Gingivitous
Your moronic theory of pain
Stealing what you can't gain
Justifies yourself
And the thorns growing over my health
I can parody your idea of angst
Lose your way in your broken veins
parody your idea of angst
Take my life and twist into a sprain
your idea of angst
Well, you may be high but you're still mundane
idea of angst
Give me any reason I need to hate your name
Chorus

- Impression -- Chatterpillar, 23:54:52 04/15/03 Tue
I stepped onto the sands,
In a robe of white,
And watched the gold egg
Glint in the light.
The sands burned my feet,
But I noticed not.
My eyes were on the queen egg
On the ground so hot.
I regarded the mother
With great respect,
But it was not her that
I was to inspect.
The eggs shook
And the dragons hummed
On that day
That had finally come.
I made my entrance
With the others in white.
Then a blue hatched
Into the light.
All the boys rushed,
But we turned away
With hopes that this would be
Our Impression Day.
And then a green hatched
And a bronze and a blue,
But the queen remained still
And we did, too.
Three others were left
Of the first thirty-two,
And then the gold rocked
And she came out, too.
Now we all rushed
To the newly hatched queen
And somehow we all “knew”
We would not leave clean.
Four ran off
In fear of her claws,
And two more flew
In fear of her jaws.
I was in back
And nearly turned away,
But her pitiful cry
Made sure I would stay.
I turned and was caught
In those prism-hued eyes,
And Impression was made –
The strongest of ties.

BECOMING
Almost unheard in the warmth and darkness,
Comes the ethereal, distant chiming,
Like an infinite pattern of rhyming,
Floating in the void where life is timing.
Off far in the shadows a light fades in,
Its existence wavering and unsure,
An embodiment of something so pure,
Sometimes shrouded, yet ever to endure.
Warning ungiven as the walls press in,
Pain shattering the oneness and the peace,
A fire blinding bright, never will it cease,
Torn to lightness, lost are the oases.
Welcome, stranger, to the realm of your life.
A realm of hatred, and a realm of strife.

- ((The snow falls over the night covered street; the last lamplight to reveal the departure of white flakes from sky to earth fades away in death... and all is dark.)) -- ..., 23:10:23 02/27/03 Thu
The masculine feline paw rises from the sodden ground, hovering over the crystal that was his sudden realization.
But too late was he aware of the tears that implode within his sister's mind.
Is he THAT worthless?
That stupid?
That dumb-assedly ignorant?
He rips apart his own soul
by theft of what was rightfully hers.
There it lays,
a killing weapon,
a shard of stone,
a blade upon the ground; ready, ready to kill again.
Or wait, is it more?
A being,
an instant,
a joy,
a truth that seemed to stretch beyond lies in that moment,
that solitary moment of bliss and recognition.
Or perhaps, to her, it was more then that...
Something that this stupid male will never know,
though he tries,
though he copies,
though he idolizes and practically worships.
He is stupid.
Dumb-assedly stupid.
And he will never be more then stupid.
At least to the world around him.
He twists, turns, writhes...
For he is lost,
stuck between a world of knowledge and ignorance,
the bedamned ignorance.
The ignorance that put the lighter step beneath his feet,
the twinkle in his eye,
the laughter in his voice.
The ignorance that everyone prefers over his knowledge.
Which sends the creature a'spin in a world of anger and hate.
No one sees this hate,
He's far too careful to let that out.
No, no,
they see the repressed anger,
they see sadness,
while silently, the roar grows,
waiting for its instant to be free.
Claws yearning for a tear at the flesh of others,
all the while killing the soul within.
The being KNOWS he is more then a slap-happy dumbass.
He KNOWS he is more then just a helper.
He's cruel, he's heartless...
Occasionally warning's slip out.
My god, he's no foolish kitty,
ready at the pounce of a non-existant sugar-rush or laughing spree.
He's more then this,
much more then this.
He's fury,
he's terror,
he's the writhing of knowing far too much and yet finding himself glad of knowing it!
Or is he ignorant?
He knows things and yet he is angry.
The paths are laid before him and he is lost.
The only one who can guide him
he stupidly turns away from,
obviously flaunting his bedeviled jewel,
showing off his bedamned lands,
his prying scent now rubbed on nearly every tree that was once sacred to his sister,
and once belonged to his sister alone.
He must be some sort of cancer,
but where is the medicine to cure those he insistently attacks?
Does it not exist?
Why should he not kill himself and help so many others;
including his own anguish-weary body...
It would be too easy.
Too quick.
Too kind to this worthless being.
Too hopeless.
Too life-like.
Too truthful.
And it would kill those whom he loved, and indeed, he lived only for them now.... knowing full well that though he hurt them at the moment, his permanent departure from the planet would mean certain death.
Ears fall back against his head,
Blood streams from self-inflicted wounds.
The cat falls to the ground,
tears falling from bloodshot eyes.
And the black crystal is shattered beneath the falling of a tattered paw.

- *sigh* -- El, 01:59:41 02/27/03 Thu
In a mood of absolute crud right now. This poem epitomizes the general vibe I get from the universe right now, that I'm just easily ignored and thrown away. Prolly explains why I drew what I did today.
Tune me out
Leave me be
Ignore me
No one needs another voice in the mill
I'm the reason, I'm the one
What do I do but cause trouble?
It's the cause
Met with anger
Or indifference
I will go.
Who cares?
Hah. Who cares, so many more that can
And rush to take my place
Why do you need me? Answer now or forever hold your peace.
See? You can't.
Goodbye. Nothing ventured nothing gained.
Do you miss me?
Of course, right. You can't.
You already forgot I was here at all.
No reminding.
The red bars behind me glare and leave one message
A message I know all too well.
Leave. Now. Go AWAY and leave
You're forgotten because there are better.
Loser.
World: One
You: Zero

- ok...i'm just piddlin' here... -- Tsuga, 20:30:41 02/23/03 Sun
i apologize 4 typos or we...my hands don' go as fast as me brain...an' this is just off d top o' me head.......lol.
The woman sits alone in the quiet greenery of the forest about her, listening to the faint sounds of life about her. The various chirps and twitters of the birds and the bullfrogs about her make a rather soothing lull as she closes her eyes, laying her black-topped head against the trunk of a narrow tree and drifting into the peaceful slumber of one totally at peace with oneself.
Awaking with a start, she looked about her, eyes reflecting suprise at the darkness of the woods about her. The calming noises of the day-time jungle have faded now into the haunting sounds of insects and the nocturnal beasts lurking in the trees. Rising stiffly, she looks about at the shadows with a faint smile gracing her thin lips. To anyone else, such noises would be something awful, but to someone who has grown up with such sounds all her life, they were the like of an old shirt; comfortable and soothing.
She walks about slowly, looking into the shadows about her, and smiling softly at what she saw there. She spotted many racoons, owls, deer, and the like; and even saw a graceful white wolf standing in a clearing. The gorgeous creature looked straight at her for the longest time; then, she nodded, and dissapeared into the trees. The woman released her breath slowly and continues her walking through the dapples of moonlight streaming through the branches of the regal trees towering overhead.

- A future story (or start of one, I may write the whole thing later) -- El, 01:12:57 02/23/03 Sun
((Okay, this involves some of my KRPG chirrlings when they grow older and a species that I'm soon to create more fully. Far in the future, an encounter shapes a few lives.))
A strange, blunt spaceship descended through the horizion, contrails of bluish white exhaust flaring from what could be jet ports. The ship rattled with what could only be a bone jarring wake-up call to the pilot inside as it tilted hungrily for the ground.
Miles away in a large and open field, a family enjoyed the sun. Well, part of a family, anyway.
"Quacha! What're you doing? Don't dig those up." An anxious striped and whsikered muzzle prodded into the field of vision of a large red female Korat as she labored busily at her task of digging up small hard tubers.
"Why not, Arik? 'm hungry!" She retorted, digging. Her striped male sibling was about to reply when a tan blur caught him napping, tumbling him end over end with laughing ease.
"Hahahah!" Small and weedy, the tan laughed as she held her struggling littermate at bay.
"We're too old for this, Tamna, lemme up!" Struggling against the grinning tan female, Arik looked straight into the eyes of his cousin and froze. Daemar had her look again. Holding still until Tamna tired of hostaging him, Arik rose and padded to his older cousin, sitting at her side. For some reason, he could detect when she was at ends. His ears moved forward as he gazed at her in concern. "What is it, Daemar?"
"The east." She replied, rising quietly and loping forward. The adolescent tan blinked at her. "Tell Hrahak that I am going to see what it is. She is to watch you all." Arik didn't question the reserved one, but padded instead to his oldest sister and mother figure. Ever since his father, mother, aunt and grandfather had died in the battles, Hrahak had lead the family.
Meanwhile, Daemar loped into the east, her gait never tiring as she moved. Soon a metallic monstrosity met her eyes, a horrific crunching of smoking material and flame that quickened her pace sharply. Someone was still alive in there! Ducking and dodging, she managed to scope out where the unconcious pilot lay, though the smoke was so thick and her eyes streaming so much that she didn't get a good look. Shutting her eyes, her muzzle found its way to the pilot's clothing, which she snagged in her teeth.
Coughing and spluttering alerted her to the waking of the creature, and a lack of oppresive heat told Daemar she could open her eyes. The sight that met them puzzled her as she sat on her haunches and studied the pilot. She hadn't seen anything so strange in all her Lavanian suns. The thing laying on its elbows in the smoothed grass was small, bipedal, and had a coating of soft grey fur. A singed tail poked out from behind and the face elongated into a whiskered muzzle. But everything else looked like something undreamed of by her, something rather humanoid in appearance. Granted, she had never seen humanoid things before, and the term itself had little meaning, but elder Alldaa's tales had given descriptions that did not flag from the slowly waking pilot, who's head was crowned with long hair as black as her own fur and plaited neatly. Hair. Daemar thought as she cautiously nosed her rescuee.
"Whah? Systems down! Systems down! I didn't fall asleep!" Came the first shrill shriek that made Daemar start back a step, raising a hind leg with her blade poised just in case.
"I am Daemar." The Korat said slowly in her own language. "Can you understand me?"
"Yes. I can. I am Chill." Large, doe-round eyes with a spark in them to counterbalance their sweetness met Daemar's. "What are you?"
"You don't know?" Daemar asked in surprise, tilting her head. "You are speaking my language perfectly and you know not what I am?"
"Imitating your speech patterns and analyzing them, is all." Chill said with a quiet smile. "Where have I landed?"
"I am a Korat. You have landed on Lavana. I heard your arrival." Daemar explained, intensely curious. Chill shifted under the expression on the tan striped black's face, and then nodded.
"I think the whole exxing galaxy heard my arrival." She muttered, holding her shoulders with her arms. "You are probably wondering what I am. A Rodanti." Sitting up a little more, Chill flinched at her torn clothing and singed fur. "I don't suppose you could help a girl out on a place like this?" After a few minutes of thought, Daemar nodded.
"I will bring you to my family. We will see to you from there." Standing and looking pointedly at the Rodanti, she started out a few steps, waiting for Chill to follow. The two headed back to the pack of Korats, exchanging curious sideways glances all the way.

- Trying -- El, 17:07:13 02/22/03 Sat
Friends fly together
Make one and you earn a heart
That beats when your own would stop
Blade to paw and back.
Don't be afraid
Stand.
If anyone told you that strength
And the fighting breath that feeds you
Is not yours and never was
They do not know
That friends fly together
Make one and you earn a heart.
Doesn't it seem...?
The oddest fur I ever saw
Bold and blue to match a paw
But not to leave the green-tide out
It's enough to make you shout.
The colors dance and whirl
Make you almost want to...well.
Doesn't it seem odd to you, young brats,
That no color here mentioned bedecks Korats!
*sticks tongue out* Silly El doesn't know what she's doing.

- ~finds words come easiest when she is reallyreallyreally mad, like now.~ -- Tsuga, 12:18:06 02/22/03 Sat
Betrayal-
An eight letter word expresses so much.
Deciet-
A lie cloaked behind a silver tounge.
Enemy-
One who hides behind friendship untrue.
Hatred-
What I feel twords you.
umm...ok...didn't really rhyme...~tries anoder one~
They say that blood is thicker than water,
But black is the heart that hurts me so,
Evil lurkes behind your mask of cheer.
Where did all the good times go?
Our comradeship has come,
Just to be killed as it begins to bud.
They say that blood is thicker than water,
But apparantly water is thicker than you.
~likes the latter poem, an' now feels better.~

- ok...i admit it...I HAVE 2 MUCH TIME! lol. just got bored. here goes. -- Afailla, 17:52:26 02/19/03 Wed
The young woman enters-her hard, cold eyes surveying her surroundings uncaringly. Aloofly brushing aside the strands of her blonde hair that had escaped from their bun, she looks down her nose at those in the room. She snorts at the laughter and cheer of those around her. So immature. Why would anyone wish to show their true feelings to others. What a fool one could make of oneself acting out what they thought. A lady should remain cool and distant at all times. One should never be downright rude, but, after all, there is a fine line between rude and distant. One could competely ignore another person for quite some time before being considered rude. She had found it much easier to say nothing and be considered at very least civil. Looking down her short, perfectly formed nose at the others in the room, she glides soundlessly across the dusty floor, no expression showing on her face other than contempt for everything about her. Especially for the dust gathering on her gown from the floor. Didn't these people know how to keep such a small space clean? It was so dingy in here...She fiercely loathed places that were dank. She did, however, prefer solitude, and so chose a poorly designed table with legs apparantly broken many times in a brawl to sit down.
((ok, i'm tired. but still bored. if ne one wants 2 talk 2 Afailla...go 'head. i'm so bored, even SHE could bear 2 carry on a conversation!))

- poems...IMPROMPTU. -- Tsuga, 17:55:35 02/18/03 Tue
A Drop of Many
A single drop
Fallen into the sea of red.
A gentle plop,
The language of the undead.
In a pool of blood,
Death reigns all-high.
The brown of mud
Mars all but the blood of thy.
A singe tear
Falls from my eye into a sea of salty despair.
A singe strand
Ripped from my heart without care.
My mind races
To find the threat of the un-known,
Despair.
My Pillow
Upon my snow-white pillow,
My golden head doth lie.
Upon my blood-stained pillow,
My eyes close, and I die.
Upon my soft, white pillow,
My blue eyes commense to hide.
Upon my sticky-warm pillow,
My life doth flee with my sigh.
hehe. kinda...dreary, no?~blinx~

- Just proves I have a very odd style.Actually, I like this one... -- Cricket, 12:12:23 12/01/02 Sun
Untitled
Dark the sky, so whence they die,
These creatures, shot or stabbed
Should not see even the sun again.
Just rain what rain falls
From they greying sky.
Run, little wolf-bat!
Your life on the line, voices of others
Echo in your ears, you
Are afraid of us, I sense,
We who hunt you down.
Fly, dragon
Carry 'way the wounded, lead
Soldiers into battle, so we may
Kill more the creatures,
For you cannot.
Stab of sword, arrows fly
Kill the gold of this land, dye it red,
Soak the soil with your blood
And here we've just begun.

- When all the world's a-fire -- Cricket, 12:24:14 11/03/02 Sun
When all the world's a-fire
When all the world's a-fire
And the ocean cries out in pain,
Perhaps then we shall listen
To the voice of the voiceless again.
When all the world's a-fire
And the trees are burned to a crisp,
Then, from the shadows shall rise
The souls of the lifeless again.
When all the world's a-fire
And even the air cries out for breath,
Perhaps then we will listen,
And let it breath again.
But is not the world a-fire?
Does it not cry out in pain?
When is it that we will listen
To the voice of the voiceless again?

cold the steel that brought him down
red the tears that they weep
gone the smile, come hither the frown
there he lies a lifeless heap

Okay, I was bored....? *G* -- Sushi, 04:58:42 10/21/02 Mon
Just a note so I don't die later... Anrik and Trihek are Kelly's chars, not mine, and © her... consider this... fan fiction? >;) A scenario of when the three Korat cubs are just grown... I can very easily picture this. =^_^=
A young adult stretched his limber frame, glossy fur rippling with the motion of toned muscles. Cream-furred with burgundy stripes, the Korat was built like a somewhat short-legged black, powerful tail tipped in a silvery blade. He grinned as he straightened from his langorous stretch -- then a black blur flung him forward and into the Terolian dust. Banretin rolled to his paws, only to be knocked over again by the same ebony streak. "Anriiiikk!" the male yelped as he staggered up once more.
A black beauty stood before her friend, sleek fur without a hair out of place, and brilliant amber eyes glowing with amusement. A dully silver blade tipped her tail, a rare thing for a female Korat. Anrik laughed lightly at Banretin's tortured expression and bapped him on the snout gracefully. The striped half-ducked and wrinkled his muzzle, "I'll never be able to keep up with you, by the sun," he half-joked; the femme was an exceptional black in speed and agility, and for all Banretin's tan heritage, he could only sometimes outrun his cubhood friend. "Where's--"
A solid connection to Banretin's ribwall sent the male skidding several meters, though he stayed upright this time. "TRIHEK!" he howled, grinning gleefully at the new arrival. Reddish brown and built far more stockily than either of the others, the male grinned in return and landed a heavy greeting-whap with the flat of his metallic blade on Ban's shoulder, nearly knocking the slimmer Korat down. Anrik smirked at her twin, identical golden eyes meeting briefly in a knowing gaze. Banretin's emerald orbs flicked up, caught their expressions, and whimpered.
As one, the two siblings rocketed forward, but this time, Ban was prepared. Spinning, the striped kicked out with his rather short longclaws held back to his shins, connecting solidly with Trihek's chest and stopping -or at least deflecting- the red's power-lunge. Anrik's pounce was blindingly fast, but Banretin's not a slow Korat either, and he turned in time to catch and somewhat buffer her 'attack', rolling over and flinging her off swiftly. Remaining on his back, the striped grinned as Anrik collapsed in a fit of laughter and Trihek joined his sister with a deep bass chuckling. Emerald eyes crinkled in mirth and Ban let his own laughter slip out. Together, the three Korats -friends since arriving on Terole- sprawled in the dusty soil as the blazing sun beats down.

JUDEGEMENT
Noontime sun sweeps scorching fingers across the plain, raking through the grass and beating relentlessly down upon the men who gather there. Armor as gold as the grass holds sweaty cloth tight to their forms. Surely the unyielding heat would hamper the knights in the inevitable battle. Blood would soon soak the yellowed fields, staining the blades crimson. Being humans, most shift with anticipation, looking forward to the melee. They were...eager. Too eager.
Across the pampas, on the northern side, stand grim the other warriors. Each is garbed in their own, mostly browns and bronzes to conceal themselves within the high shrub. Not much armor weigh the swift-footed brigade down. Unlike the order-bound battalion to the south, these ruthless entites fight with but the vaguest organization. Keenly intelligent, mercenaries are, and they rarely come out to fight in numbers. They stand quietly, unmoving, ignoring the blaze and rising tension, for they are very good at that...
Without warning, one of the gold armored men steps forth and issues a battle-cry, spurring his mount into action. It spreads like a ripple of echoes, and every knight gives his own shout as they follow bravely their leader. On the other hand-- or side of the meadow, really-- the sneaky fighters spread out into a loose circle, virtually invisible. The mounted group fall right into the mercenaries' trap. Now rung by highly trained and emotionless killers, they turn into an outward-facing loop, waiting for the imminent attack.
Just as abruptly as the knights had assaulted, they are being cut down, one by one. Those impossibly graceful beings seem inhuman, so easily they take lives. Soon enough, only the leader of the men is left, circled entirely by mercenaries.
Darkness falls.
And so it shall be, forevermore.

O specter of the nearing shade,
Be you will plunged deeper,
Into the night you will fade,
For, indeed, she is the Reaper.
Rising high the idol of man,
Death is but a step behind,
Away from her the hero ran,
Up she caught, black ropes bind.
Do not run, do not fear,
Do not fight ancient lore,
You'll soon get used to the drear,
And she'll watch, forevermore.

Silent sounds the requiem,
Grayscale mist, rushing reel,
Lift your wings to feel the numb,
I'm wrought of stone and steel,
Void of darkness, lusterless black,
Stand before Death's great gate,
Scythe to heart, a-dragonback,
What is once was, and that is fate.

NO FAREWELL WAS I BODE
The moon casts silver shadows, 'cross m'hand and face,
In the wind the curtains sway, bedecked in off-white lace,
High above, the now-gray clouds drift, in darklight they are traced,
Come back t'me, I need you, please...
Five years ago you told me, that you would soon return,
So sad was I but I let you go; I soon would grimly learn,
You were gone for a month or more, my heart began to burn,
Come back t'me, I need you, please...
I looked out on spray-soaked cliffs, the time at hand was dire,
Thoughts of you seared my soul, like some livin' fire,
Wanderlust swift took its hold, great wave of desire,
Come back t'me, I need you, please...
Left in the dark of twilight, no farewell was I bode,
An' I marched hard yet broken in from the rocky road,
Pass the graves, pass the death, to darkness sung the ode,
Come back t'me, I need you, please...
The water's cold,
The waves're bold,
Reflections grim and old.
Shadow's fate,
Death-wreathed gate,
High clouds hewn of hate.
Silent sounds the requiem,
Grayscale mists, the wind is numb,
Wings of black, oh so fleet,
Hold me high, O Death elite.

- Led Astray -- Sushi-san, 15:39:33 08/19/02 Mon
Spinning whirling dervish of life
Sweet surrender has no strife
Can't you hear the blood sing death?
It's calling for your holy crest
Crimson splash across the beautiful sky
Can't you hear the dead sing why?
Kindness, honour, nobility and pride
Where within do all the virtues hide?
City of the Sun shines with guilt
The myriad towers only goldly gilded
Can't you see the fake, worn shine?
Why does the world have to be this blind?!
Crest of silver, purest gold
In the shape that turns blood cold
Like a T, to which was nailed a man
Doused in his own blood and banned
Crows and ravens flocked around
Harsh voices crying aloud
Injustice for the world's last chance
But maybe the world doesn't deserve pittance
Erratic drummers lead the people through bait
Playing their songs of greed, destruction and hate
Can't you see them lead us astray?
Can't you find a better way?!

- Bored. -- Takk 'Cat-Kite' Squirrel, 17:25:48 08/03/02 Sat
Takk was digging for an acorn he had stowed in the fall, the ground was still half frozen, winter still reluctant to give up it's long reign on the land. Spring would prevail, though, it always had.
Takk twitched his tail in agitation, still unable to locate where exactly he had hidden it last time. Little did he know that Jin Bluejay had long since dug it up and made off with it.
Takk gave up after awhile, his nose quivering suddenly as he caught scent of a housecat.
To be exact, Sam the TabbyCat.
Sam was a very old cat, with only one yellow eye and a crooked tail. His coat was thin and left patches of skin exposed, his coat was the same color as his one eye. Yellow.
Takk squeaked at the thought of being caught by Sam and made his way up the nearest tree. And just in time for not ten seconds later Sam came prowling across the yard, his crooked tail held like a banner over the tall grass.
From the safety of the tree, Takk chattered down at the cat, cursing him and his kin in the many squirrel curses. Choosing all and leaving none untried.
Sam hissed, back arching at the squirrel, but of course, Takk paid the angry cat no more attention, after he was done cursing him, then he might a rotten nut, and that was most likely his downfall.
Sam hissed again, then almost smugly leapt at the tree, climbing straight up it slowly, but surely.
This caused Takk to squeak and race higher up the tree, he having not known Sam could climb as old as he was.
Well, despite his age, Sam had made it pretty far up the tree, leaving Takk with only one option.
Fly!
He drew courage from deep inside himself, then leapt and sailed through the air, landing on a tree branch of an entirely different tree.
He chattered his squirrel war cry, tail fluffing up proudly.
Sam hissed, then dropped to the ground, and sauntered off.
This was how Takk got his famous nickname:
Cat-Kite

- In My Mind -- Twilight, 19:48:17 06/25/02 Tue
Okay, let's see.. here's a poem I just made spur of the moment about me and my boyfriend. We're going to different high schools, so..
"In My Mind"
I wonder plaintively to myself
And put my thoughts upon the shelf
And ponder if he sees himself
The way he is in my mind.
I look upon my thoughts again
Sitting on the shelf's end.
I wonder where life ends and begins.
Does it begins when the heart dies?
In the day I act carefree
When inside I'm dying so slowly.
At night I cry so freely
And I wonder if I'm gone from his heart.
The moon is my best friend at night
For when I cry and shed my fright,
It's there to make me feel alright
When I am torn apart.
I look wistfully back on his face.
No phone call can his smile replace.
His eyes make blood in my pulse race.
I hope he feels the same inside.
I want his arms to hold me again.
I want to feel his heartbeat again.
I want to kiss his lips again.
I want to hold his hands again.
I want his fingers to stroke my cheek again.
I want him to come back to me again,
The way he does in my mind.

- ~!@#$%^&*()_+ -- Dark Moon, High Tide, 20:26:18 06/10/02 Mon
Six Views
An eternal trek through an eternal squall,
Let the harsh rain bite and the ice wind gall,
Confront the past, and fight it all,
My thoughts askewer, and idle.
Each solid foot placed with precise care,
Ears pricked up and eyes aware,
Scan the earth, no foot in the snare,
Along the ground, I sidle.
Feet leave prints soon covered in snow,
Must keep hidden, must keep low,
Keep vague and quiet, yet fleet as a doe,
Slink I do, through the flurry.
I see the surreal light high, sun unborn,
It gives me the faith when I'm tired and worn,
I know it changes the night to morn,
I just wish it would hurry.
Blood shall stain the feathery white,
To the death those knaves shalt fight,
They know I'll win, I'll bring their blight,
The fools who oppose me.
I yearn for the night of this frozen land,
My steel heart waits for its darkened hand,
The moon may ride high, to lead my band,
Reflected snow will help us see.

- Itching to Write something.... -- Kay, 20:32:20 06/07/02 Fri
First Hunt
Travel through the grasses tall,
make yourself very small.
Look, up ahead!
Deer are there.
Sniff the wind.
Are you down or up from the herd?
They'd scare with a single wisp of a word.
Hush now kids,
Don't make a sound.
Creep forward slowly,
Close to the ground.
Choose your prey carefully,
Wounds they may cause quite painfully.
Pick an old or sick
A healthy buck wouldn't do
Would you want to be
The star of roadkill stew?
Quiet now, no wrestling.
Dear, leave your sister alone.
Think about the juicy meat and licking bare the bone.
Have you chosen your prey?
Creep forward now, slowly
find the best time to strike
soon you'll be in attack range
Not a very long hike.
See how alert the deer are?
But a snapped twig alerts their gaze.
Get ready now, be quick.
Be just a passing haze.
Ready, go! Run run run
Stride your longest
Cruise your fastest
Attack only your chosen one.
Run, run, jump!
Soar through the air!
Ready your claws, now.
Be ready to catch his hair.
Sink your fangs into his neck
Cut off the flow of lifeblood
See there? You've taken your prey
Hold tight to that neck, Son.
Loosen just a little and Zip!
Your prey will be less than one.
See there? No more struggle.
No more fighting for life.
The chest rises and falls no more,
You, my child, has won!

- Leading me on -- Rhiannon, 19:53:09 06/07/02 Fri
Why don't they understand?
I'm just trying to work things out
Just wanting to have a life
But they won't listen
They can't see the world the way I see it
They don't know what goes on in my mind
All they know is the outside
The fake smiles
The forced laughs
All of the conversations that make the world seem alright
But they can't see inside of me
They don't know what I'm feeling
Is there a cloud
Raining on their parade
Is it cloudy overhead or is this cloud just over me?
The rain is pouring down
My clothes drip with the weight of the water
But no one can feel it
No one can see it but me
I let them see the shiny exterior
The glowing smilewith gleaming teeth
They don't see this black cloud
Thats pouring down on my day
They don't see that my sky is no longer blue
Or that my heart and mind have been pulled in two
They don't see my struggling to climb out of this place
It holds me down
And I can't pull myself up
But the rain keep pouring down
Filling the well that I'm drowning in
It makes me wish I could swim
So I could get out of this place
Run from this black cloud
Just get away from this place
The water swells up around my head
One last breath and I'm under
Drowning in the unforgiven
Lapping for air thats not there
Drinking from the Nile's blood
I just want out of this place

- Random Musings -- Jenna, 21:14:57 06/05/02 Wed
Takken's mind whirled with thoughts and sounds from his home, his previous home, before they had turned him away; like the outcast he was.
Flames. Burning, pleasantly warm against tired hide. Hunger, Blood.
Thoughts of the night... the night when he had broken the rule.
Bellows of anger. Blood. Warm, Soft fire-flame.
His tongue tasted the air, in memory.
The smell of Clan burning, of home burning. Of scorched hide. The pleasant smell of roasting hide, death.
He was too tired to force these thoughts from his mind, too tired to even think of trying. Such disobediance hurt, caused pain.
Pain was bad.
His mind swirled with thoughts, with memories.
Takken, standing over carcess, warm pleasant tasting blood in mouth, feeling no pain from empty stomach.
It was wrong, very wrong, the all time bad.
Eating a Clan-Mate was like eating your own tail, that was why he had been banished.
He had eaten from a dead clan-mate, died in flame.
Pain, Pain, Pain.
He felt no pain, but his mind pressed that thought at him, thrust it at him with savage force.
Pain is bad. Pain, Pain, Pain is Pain.
He shook his head, paniced for a moment, thinking he had gone over, become like all the others.
But he was still sane, and with a relieved hiss, he settled once more into the bushes, waiting for real prey to approach, no longer remembering the night when the forest burned flames, no longer remembering when his fangs had drank deep in already spoiled blood; but blood of his clan-mate nonetheless.
So Hungry...
His mind begged forgiveness, remembering the rejection, the horror of his deed.
Pain. Pain is bad, No Pain, Much Pain. Forgive?
His mind silently repeated his exact thoughts when his eyes had been mercilessly dyed blue.
Dead have no pain. Takken have hungry pain. Pain is Bad. So Takken want to share dead pain, no mean to break rule.
Never eat a clan-mate.
Even a dead one.
He had been young then, very young, when they had cast him out of the clan, and if he had remained, perhaps he would be a great hunter by now.
His blue eyes flashed reality, and caught the image of a small creature.
Food.
He sprang suddenly, hoping to catch the creature by ambush.
The small beast flinched and ran, and Takken was left with hungery thoughts, left with no food.
Some Great Hunter.
His body ached from the spring, from the unusual condition he was in.
Pain.
He felt pain now, not bad pain, not verbal pain, but a soft deadly pain that threatened to creep up his neck into his skull.
"Valer'k Jiuh Lij!"
He growled into the air, obviously disturbed by his own thoughts, angry his mind had lost it's vice tight grip on reality more then once.
No. No. No. Bad. Bad is pain.
Came his disoriented thoughts as the pain reached his fevered brow.

- Final Wish -- Rhiannon, 22:35:03 06/02/02 Sun
Home at last
Among the stars
The deepness of the sky holds me in
While the twinkling of the stars gives me room to breath
Moons spin in their circled orbs
While I reach to catch a shooting star
When I'm here
My mind is wide open
I can swim
I can dance
I can run all day
When I'm here
I can dive into the night sky's milky depts
Orion's belt evelopes me
The big dipper scoops me up
And then catapolts me far from here
I'm flying endlessly in freedom
I soar high above all the annoyances on planet earth
Saturn's rings swing around me
Pluto's ice cool my hot temper
All around is everything
But also nothing
My stay is never brief
And I am glad to be back
Here on earth even with it's idiocies
Maybe I can truely go home one day...

- Fallen -- Rhiannon, 20:10:23 05/30/02 Thu
Darkness
Fire
The heat envelopes me
Light in flashes
Scalding air
Too hot to breath
Too scared to move
Blood flows through my wounds
I lay in a pool of red
It burns
What is this place?
It is not the place where I fell
My battlefield
I, a hero amounst my people
This is not where the arrows entered my body
I can feel it
The flames are coming closer
The burning!
Make it end
Is my heart still pumping?
Yes, for blood is still existing my battle scarred body
Breath still enters my lungs
But in gasps
The air is so hot
It hurts my already aching lungs
I wish I would just die
This pain would be over
No, don't think like that
Life!
I want life
Fight it, break through the flame's grasp
The flames are consuming me
But I can't feel it
My nerves have died
No! Fight the death
No more air
Theres no more air
The flames have inhaled it all
The red pool, it's drying
Theres no blood left to pump
I must live
I am a hero now
Won the battle, the revolution, for my people
I must live
Was that a light?
Yes it is
I am fighting it
The pain, I am fighting it off!
The flames are no longer touching my prone skin
And that light, I must reach it if I am to live
I am a warrior
I can make it
Be strong, get to the light
I have reached it
The pain is gone, but where am I now
What is this singing I hear
What is this mist that clouds my eyes
No! I have lost
I am dead and forever a lost hero
A hero that shall never walk again
But I made a difference
...I lived...

- Lasting Souls -- Lenli, 13:18:54 05/29/02 Wed
Light falls as the gentle breeze blows
The moon shines high above
My gaze falls over the stars
The planets circle silently
As the night drones on
At death blood still flows
As the air flows through the leaves of trees
The scent of jasmine is carried on the breeze
As the jasmine wreaks of death...old death
The orbs in the sky slow
They know that earth is in peril
Dust settles over the dried leaves and they crumble
No life is left
Just the last signs of what once was
I am not here
I am but a ghost floating endlessly in a world full of loss
A loss that can never be replaced
I hover silently staring at the night sky
Remembering what once was
And what will never be again

- "Earth-Dance" -- Sushi, 15:07:42 05/22/02 Wed
As the earth turns 'round,
Completing her dance
Under the night sky,
A lone figure is silhouetted
By a pale face
Surrounded by sparkling gems.
The figure moves off
Down the hill.
Then, suddenly,
She dashes away,
Capering and calling
To the lightning bugs
And the crickets,
Leaping high,
Racing low...
The earth-dance
Is very in step.

- "Howl" -- Sushi, 15:03:33 05/12/02 Sun
Long low howl
Echoing from a misty hill
Enchanting sound
Drifting mournful on cold night's wind
Long powerful jaws
Through which the lonesone song streams
Crying outloud
Into the bitter winter's blackness
Long thick fur
Ruffed against the winder's fingers
Traces of ice form
Amid the shadowy grey
Long does she gaze
Brilliant amber orbs burning
Watching constantly
For that which she seeks

- The Stars Overhead -- Sharrah, 13:03:03 05/12/02 Sun
A silver fox pads round in the moonless night,
Wond'ring, "Will I make it through this night?"
She sighs and looks up to find the stars looking down upon her.
She sees Orion, Cancer, Leo, and others. Her orbs begin to twinkle brightly.
The stars calm down her fears, and she walks on, her pelt, eyes and spirit twinkling like the stars.

Night
A black wolf stands
Climbs onto a rock
Tilts back his head
And howls at the moon.
A silent owl swoops
Catches a fish from the stream
Returns to her nest
And feasts.
A doe awakens
Nuzzles her sleeping fawn
Looks around
And sleeps again
A black wolf stands
Climbs onto a rock
Tilts back his head
And howls at the moon...

IN A COMMON ROOM
The humans laugh and the dragons skulk,
The elves just cock a 'brow.
The griffens glare, the peasants stare,
In the common room!
Drink and dance for all you're worth,
Maybe fondle, if you're male.
Worries; forget, make a bet,
In the common room!
Listen to the jesters, up upon the stage,
Up at daring feats and slapstick.
Dice a-roll, folk a-stroll,
In the common room!

A Beautiful Creature -- Cambria, 22:58:55 05/06/02 Mon
I made this up about my boyfriend..
In the battle eternal of love and hate
I stand in the battle arena
Unaware of he bloodshed around me
Seeming to stand for an era
The pure light of goodness shines through the night
The hate blocks the light of day
Back and forth each side earns blows
Victory leans sin's way
Out of the midst of chaos and mayhem
An unearthly sound draws near
The evil cackling of a demon's laughter
Sounds a victory cheer
I turn my head to hide the tears
My eye catches a face
My throat chokes up as I walk forward
Possessed, I walk in a daze
A creature, beautiful, with light sapphire eyes
That shine with a pure light
A smile that melts the coldest of hearts
And a touch that soothes my fright
This soul, this being, is my protection
From things that turn me cold
From things that make me cry out in pain
From freezing this heart of gold
And again I hear the laughter in chaos
More mocking with each murder
More spiteful with each mutilation
More delightful with each sinner
I stand with the creature with the smile pure
We walk hand in hand
Stepping over the suicidal corpses
Of the desolate wretched land
He wraps his arm around me
On my cheek he plants a kiss
And there's nothing else but here and now
Nothing, only this.
The screams of terror and rage
Fade into nothing more
Death arrives for the laughing perverse demon
Waiting by his door
The rust-colored blood washed off the arena
It metamorphosed into something new
An exotic haven for light and love
And for the handsome creature and me, too.

DEATH OF THE LAND
The humanland of USA should not be oh so proud,
The wails of the dieing land are so painfully loud.
The humans that walk this place used to hear such keening,
But away, over the past centuries, we have been a-leaning.
Why can no one hear but I?
Why can no one see but I?
Why must our land die?
Because of humankind.
Look out over cross the vista, forest paths and hills,
To know what will become of it, gives me the chills.
All mowed down and coated with buildings and the like,
No longer up the majestic mountain will we be able to hike.
Why can no one hear but I?
Why can no one see but I?
Why must our land die?
Because of humankind.
Propaganda and manipulation rapidly make their reign,
The new cities quickly grow old, quickly lose their shine.
So what now, it's all done, guess we start anew,
Destroy another bit of nature, where something precious grew.
Why can no one hear but I?
Why can no one see bu I?
Why must our land die?
Because of humankind.
This subtle plague is spreading, all across the earth,
The humans don't seem to know what the land is truly worth.
It's not a plot or pasture, not a foundation for their town,
It's the celestial body we call home, but now the deity shall frown.
Why can no on hear but I?
Why can no one see but I?
Why must our land die?
Because of humankind.
We took Its child and wrecked and ravaged, since the dawn of creation,
We evolved this cursed need to spread, and insanely powerful emotion,
We dirty and curse, the Deity must be in stun,
We should step up to take the deserved shun.
Why can no one hear but I?
Why can no one see but I?
Why must our land die?
Because of humankind.
You might call me a little cynical freak,
That I am, you fool, cynisism I do reek.
No one seems to heed me, this's our only chance,
I suppose that now all that's left to do is step back and dance the dance.
Why can no one hear but I?
Why can no one see but I?
Why must our land die?
Because of humankind.

- Yet another place to post my poetry! -- Ky'ale, 19:08:11 04/27/02 Sat
Ah, some meaningless poetry....
Freedom's Flight
Great white wings carry me away
I find my footing but it gives away
So many voices telling me to stay
To watch the night melt into day
Turn my walk into a run
I thought I was the only one
To find my courage, look into the sun
Fly away beloved on.
Chains are bound around me
I looked around but I couldn't see.
Come closer, set me free
To fly away for eternity.

- A good friend of mine wrote this... -- Liathano (Liath), 21:24:33 04/23/02 Tue
Brave
If I never woke up,
Just lying there in bed,
Or maybe on the floor
With a pillow covering my head.
Would you come to my funeral?
Would you visit my grave?
And if before I died
I told you not to cry.
Would you be brave?
Would you be all right?
What if I told you
It was all a dream,
That we would wake up soon
And nothing would be, as it would seem.
And if before we were to wake up
I told you to be ready for what
Was coming and to never give up.
Would you be brave?
Would you be all right?
Would you try your hardest to survive.
But I ask you now are you ready for the future.
To go through life with a smile.
I may not die any time soon
And life may not be a dream,
But the future is a fate
That you can not deny.
So are you ready for what’s to come.
Will you be brave?
Will you be all right?
Will you learn to survive?

- Hero's War -- Cana, 13:00:32 04/13/02 Sat
Hatred burns the fire higher
Envy is the dark desire
Rage envelopes; clouded reason
Cruelty will forge the season
Vengeance lights the hero's eyes
Glory's tale of crafted lies
Weave the web and throw the dice
Bear the brunt of anger thrice
Obscure the vision, block the cries
Deception's truth will fool the wise
Hero's death will raise them all
What evil grieves for brings the fall
Jealosy will spawn all sin
And only then can hope begin.

All must die by my hand,
Or pain will ripple 'cross the land,
Like an echo of peace and war.

- Sorrow -- Eve, 15:26:29 04/12/02 Fri
The tears may not come outside,
but inside it will always be,
is there not anything to save me?
To save the sorrow,
sadness and despair,
happiness being ever so rare.
But sometimes there's a spark of hope,
you grab it, and keep it, and try to cope,
with all the sorrow all around,
with just that little spark you found.
And soon it gets bigger,
until you have to share,
and suddenly there is no more sorrow and despair.

Lord, let us not forget thee,
In our trials and in our pain,
Give us peace to know our fight,
Is not wnaton nor is vain.
Help the childeren who have not,
Seen the blood and truth of war,
That they understand why men,
Go to keep it from our shores.
Bless those soldiers, Mighty God,
Who for liberty and life,
Lay to die on foriegn sod,
Give them Heaven for their strife.
Bless me not to be afraid,
Though I know hatred is strong,
Help me love those who would hate,
And forgive those who do wrong.
For my Country, for myself,
For all seeking to be free,
Help us find our peace in life,
And our life in liberty.

Fabricate a past,
So you can start anew,
Everything is right in my eyes,
Everything is alright in my embrace.
I'll guide you dearest friend,
Through the death (darkness) and through the life (light);
May you forever feel,
The moonlight bless your heart.
Keep in mind that everything,
Is only just a dream (a nightmare),
Live it as you will my sisters (my brothers),
You may build your paradise.
Everything is right in my eyes,
Everything is alright in my embrace,
Fabricate a future,
Make your ascension to grace.

Across the body of a sleeping soul,
call the desperate cries for joys of yore,
but shadows of demons have claimed this ground,
and your bright peaceful visions are done for.
So while the wails begin to sound,
the lieing fog clouds up the truth,
a child's heart races, a constant pound,
of wild black horses with claw not hoof.
The monsters lurk from beneath the bed,
their breath of ice beneath your skin,
dripping fangs and fiery teeth,
have gone beyond the mind within.
Let go of your tear-stained blanket boy,
reach for the dreamcatcher high,
save yourself from the nightmare's ploy,
for the dreamcatcher's spirit is nigh.
Brave white knights and magnificent steeds,
hounds of silver and gold,
Demons are battled till each black heart bleeds,
by the Dreamcatcher's army of Olde.
Monsters are herded back under the bed,
Caged within bars of your thought,
Charged from the grounds of your sleeping head,
where their horrors are simply forgot.
Then knights of the DreamCatcher return to their home,
their hounds shining proudly behind,
Your thoughts are now safe for your dream-self to roam,
As, the DreamCatcher fought for your mind.
Let go of your tear-stained blanket boy,
reach for the dreamcatcher high,
save yourself from the nightmare's ploy,
for the dreamcatcher's spirit is nigh.

Black wings spread,
Cover the sky,
The darkness,
To shade the living,
To protect the dead,
Black wings spread.
