Subject: IC notes about magic 04/10/2002

Pardon the jargon, but I think it makes things clearer to write them down while not relying on "magic" terms.

Hypothesis: There exists a mechanism for altering the environment[1] that does not use the four known forces[2].

[1] The energy state of particles and waves in a system.
[2] Gravity, electro-maginitism, the strong and weak nuclear forces.

Observations this theory must explain that are not explained by previous theories:
-- Acceleration of photons ("invisibility")
-- Acceleration of mater (dice)

Incomplete observations that are likely not explained by previous theories.
-- Growth of a human being. Does mass likewise increase?
-- Acceleration of mater. 2 cases of hearsay, must confirm. (levitating tarot cards, diversion of bullet)
-- creation of solid objects from gasseous material or photons (??? unlikely, subject probably mistaken). Mechanism not understood. (lock)
-- Shared visual halucination. Mechanism not understood. (Jess's "Avatar")
-- Observation of emotional responce in humans. Hearsay, must confirm. ("auras")
-- Control over consious actions. Mechanism not understood. At all. (dancing)
-- Uncontroled responces to conventionally unexplainable phenomina. Hearsay, must confirm ("paradox")

Unanswered Questions:
-- What is the mechanism? Observed acceleration of mater could have been produced conventionally, but the implied control over minor body movements is remarkable. The observed acceleration of photons is not explainable by the same mechanism. In fact, the only known acceleration mechanism for that medium is gravitational. However, the observed precision of the acceleration, combined with the lack of a singularity makes such a "conventional" explanation unlikely. A fifth "force" could be postulated, but its too early to make such sweeping statements.
--What is "paradox"? Hearsay naturally, but independently remarked on by several sources. If observations are true then mechanism must explain this as well.
