She was pretty much in shock when he answered and she stuttered for a minute. "Oh..I..I didn't think you would have the same number..I just.." She bit her lip, her brow furrowed. What the hell was she doing? She was sitting out on the porch of a very expensive apartment, in the cold, wearing a $90 sweater that Kevin had bought for her and there was a guy inside that worshipped the ground that she walked in and here she was, whispering into the cell phone to her ex-husband who recently got out of jail. She had to be straight up legit insane. Her brow furrowed a little as she ran her hand down her face, clearing her throat. "I'm sorry...I didn't mean to wake you...god, I know it's late...I'm sorry..." She wasn't sure exactly what to say, now that she had him on the phone, she felt a little foolish - ok, a lot foolish.
