Subject: Lady Dunsany didn't seem to be a push-over, neither is Grandmother Benedicta. But you're right in that the time-traveling modern woman would be a bit much for him, even though he did have Claire as a step-mother for a few months.
In reply to: Kathy in PA 's message, "Me too! And I think Bri expects that closeness with William but I don’t think he’ll be able to be as easy with her for a while. Ian grew up with Mom Jenny and basically stepmom Claire. A woman like Bri is fine with him. William’s ideas of women aren’t quite as sophisticated yet." on Tue, July 05 2022, 13:03:50

Ian welcomed her with open arms and heart once he realized she wasn’t his Da’s “woman on the side.” The way Diana described young Ian in that scene made it hard for me to accept John Bell because he’s so round featured. Book Ian is very different. -- Kathy in PA, Wed, July 06 2022, 13:10:46
