Subject: Compared to Ian he was stiff with Claire though. Ian welcomed her with open arms and heart once he realized she wasn’t his Da’s “woman on the side.” The way Diana described young Ian in that scene made it hard for me to accept John Bell because he’s so round featured. Book Ian is very different.
