To be honest, I've never been too impressed w/ that part of the state. Just doesn't seem like much there to do (well, CMU is not too far...oh, and there's a nuclear power plant in Midland isn't there? Ha!). Where in MI are you, Becca? The "rest" of us are pretty much in the southern part of the state. I'm in South-West, MI (Battle Creek/ Kalamazoo area), Becky and Cathy are more North-East of me just north of Ann Arbor. And Lisa is WAY south of all us in "almost Toledo" (but hey, they've got the best Girls Volleyball in the State there! Anyway, as Lisa posted earlier, we should all try to get together in September or so. Come on along! As for cool things to see in the state this time of year, try the U of M campus this weekend for the Ann Arbor Art Festival..NOT JUST YOUR AVERAGE art fair...tres cool! Lake Michigan also has some great beaches. Was just there over the 4th, very clean tho not quite as breathtaking as the Ocean!

Lake Michigan does have wonderful beaches. I live on a bluff overlooking Lake Michigan in a town named St Joseph. I too am in the beautiful SW part of the state. Bill & I like to watch sunsets from the bluff & walk on the beach. We can see the lighthouse on Silver Beach from the bluff. I am a lighthouse fanatic so for me that's pretty kewl! On the 4th we watched the fireworks over the Lighthouse...that along with the lights from boats bobbing in the water made it an awesome display. Don't tell me you were here in my area or town...cuz I would have loved to meet ya! (NT)Becca17:41:27 07/08/02 Mon
