As "cool" as it looks, and as "natural" as this may seem, this is not a natural way for pups to consume food at such a young age. You are likely to develop a lot of unnecessary food based aggression by feeding that way. If you want a "natural" fed dog they would eat mother's vomit enduced by the pups licking the mothers mouth after she has consumed more than enough needed for just herself. This feeding style isn't as likely to work for dogs as it does wolves though...I would dice the meat into bits so they don't fight for it so much.
