Like he said, hocus pocus... Especially on the ACI line

Just FYI that knick on the face of your bolt may be causin you some trouble with paint breakage, sanding out the rough edge may imporvoe your paint breakeage.

As for Venturi bolts on the Griffin, I personally installed a rear cocking bolt in my friend's ACI Griffin two years ago, I have also been there every time he's used it. For the most part it works just fine (albeit no different than the stock bolt, I'll tell you why in a minute) but it also has a few odd tendencies. Such as chopping paint until the bolt becomes soaked in the stuff (no exaggeration) and I think the extra weight added adds to the gun's problem with operation, every once in a while it sputters out. Our best guess is the striker is returning with such force that it's just riding past the sear. It gets so bad that at times that's the only way the gun will cycle.

I can't say this for every Venturi bolt on the market but even in an F4 the venturi doesn't really matter much, this is why: Venturi's are meant to spread the impact of the air evenly around the ball in order to prevent one place on the ball from recieving too much pressure. That's fine, except for the fact that aci bolts (with the exception of the outter ridge that's needed to push the ball forward) have a very wide front ,allowing a lot of air to come out on just the same surface area that the Venturi does. People wanted aftermarket, even if it's not a real improvement and they got it with these products. But hey they are annoed :) although it comes off and I hear smells pretty bad when it does.

So in conclusion: I never saw any difference in operation other than the problems it caused, adjustable recock in F4s may be different (I wouldn't know, most of my data is from comparing the two bolts together).

But hey it's only like 20 bucks.
