  • Questions -- Anthony, 00:01:22 05/31/03 Sat (64.229.212.107)
Hi all, my name is Anthony and I'm new. I have questions regarding about air systems. What is 68/3000 when someone says that they are using that? and also what does ACI bulldog tank take co2? nitro? compressed air? some members are using expansion with ACI bulldog system, does that help? and for air system that is like ACI bulldog with the preset system, do u still need a regulator?and can F4 use those air systems?

Please help me answer these questions

    Thanks
    Anthony

  • Is this better? -- Mark, 14:52:48 05/28/03 Wed (205.174.22.23)
Some have mentioned recently that this message board is not as good as it could be. Voy.com is certainly becomming slow. So I did a little reading on cgi-bin and other geeky stuff like that and have come up with Ultimate Bulletin Board as an option. Try it out and see how you like it. We'll collectively vote on it later.

    http://www.f4og.com/ubb604/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi

For the short term BOTH Voy and UBB will be used. And understand that this is a work-in-progress, and you're likely to see ugly colors, non-functional forums, etc., as I tweak this thing.

You do NOT have to be a registered member to post on UBB, but if you do you get some nifty options.

Not to offend anyone here. But I dont really like these bulletin boards. For one, once you reply to a topic, it won't put it back up to the top, so you have to go searching for an older topic. Maybe that's just me, but it gets kind of annoying. May I suggest another system??

YABB. Its a free pearl forum system and very nice.
http://www.yabbforum.com/ Maybe y'all should check it out. Just would like to see this place prosper, and that would be a great idea IMHO.

  • Help with air pressure on F4 -- Ryan, 01:36:59 05/28/03 Wed (66.138.231.220)
I was shooting my gun today, I should say trying to shoot. I had the pressure too low from my CO2 im guessing because the balls were going about 10-15 feet and just dropping. So I screwed the adjustment screw all the way in and it did the exact same thing. Is this telling me that I need a new spring, or is my CO2 tank too low on air? I can't figure it out. Thanks for the help -Ryan

  • Game Stories -- Raffi, 17:22:04 05/27/03 Tue (68.211.210.88)
I figured that since I'd never seen a post on game experiences, I'd start one!

I played this weekend, and for those of you living in Southern Florida, you know how stormy its been. For those of you who arn't living here........its rained VERY hard for at least 2 hours every day for the past week.

The place we play, therefore, had a least 2 inches of water in the flat places, and in the trenches that were dug, pits, and just plain bumps in the ground were flooded. The deepest came up to my waist, and I'm 6'2".

The games were a BLAST! The water kept us nice and cool, and added a new strategy. Once you stepped into water, and were able to wade, you were pretty silent. In order to find your opponent, you had to be looking for ripples in the water. I was also able to throw a stick to make a splash and reveal some opponents positions.

Some of my favorite experiences were when I was rushing/getting rushed. This helped me learn how to react to lots of fire, and being careful not to hit my teammates. I think the most memorable time was when me and Dave (my teammate) were rushing one kid from 2 sides of a big tree line. Joey (the opponent) ducked under a huge pile of logs so that I couldn't hit him, and managed to tag Dave. Then, Joey stood up to tag me, and I managed to hit his mask and shoulder. It was close tho, because we were about 15 feet from each other.

Ok everyone elses turn! Share some stories!

  • Interesting... -- DaRaptor, 14:54:11 05/20/03 Tue (67.4.68.207)
When I was setting my regulator today, I noticed something intersting....my F4 would re-cock very reliably down to about 350 psi when running on CO2...When I plugged in my N2, it would not re-cock consistently until about 550....that information is coming from the output guage on my Stabilizer.

Both gasses were running from the same bottomline, same fittings, same regulator....nothing changed except I switched from my 20oz tank to my screw in Bulldog2. I knew CO2 and HPA worked a little differently, simply because the physical nature of the gasses is different....but a 200psi discrepancy in required pressure? What's going on?

  • Regulator needed for CO2 or not needed? -- Paintball Newbie, 06:35:22 05/21/03 Wed (65.141.14.80)
I was wondering what is the purpose of having a regulator on a marker? Currently I own a F4 Illustrator and was interested in putting a regulator on it. Can you have a reg. even if your running CO2? If not, do you need HPA? I already have a 4 stage expansion chamber, but can you also use a regulator too or is it a waste of money? The reason I'm asking is because I'm trying to keep the pressure more consistent. I am currently running CO2 but it always fluctuates. I'm trying to figure out a way to keep the velocity at a stable psi w/o it jumping up and down. Other suggestions for this problem would be grately appreciated. Thanks!

  • Fate -- Keith Cox, 18:10:38 05/17/03 Sat (65.29.213.115)
Do you believe in fate? I didn’t until today. I have been looking for the right paintball shop for me for sometime now. Today I was taking my nethew out for lunch. He is seventeen, so I drive out to Mt. Orab and we had lunch. My wife had never seen Mt. Orab so we drove into the little town and out of the corner of my eye I scout a paintball sign so we stopped in and my nephew was in heaven. The place is small; they have mostly fishing and hunting supplies. So I started to look around and I was floored when I started to look at the prices. They were the lowest that I have ever seen. I mean the lowest ever, they were cheaper then any of the Internet stores including e-bay on paintballs. And it was the very type of shop that I have been looking for. You see I have been looking for a Smaller more personal paintball shop. You have probable heard me say this before I have missed the old days of the Mom and Pops paintball shop. You know like they say on the old TV show Cheers (were everyone knows your name) well at last after looking long and hard Warlock has found his new Paintball home. I have to say that they are just getting started with the paintball gear but they know their stuff. I talked to the owner there for almost a half an hour it was great it was like going back in time to when I first started playing. The owner played for The Crow Warriors and if you know the name Crow Warriors you know that they know their stuff. All I can say is they will be getting some business from my Crew and me. Well just wanted to tell everyone about my findings. So go and check them out and tell them that Keith from the players Den sent you. You can find them at 217 South High Street Mt. Orb Ohio 45154 and their Phone number is (937) 444-0852.

Im really new to the game and i have a question. i bought a new marker. the bore size on the marker is .692. I want a new barrel, does it have to be the same bore size? from what i've gathered bore size only concerns the size of the paint you shoot. meaning, i could put a smaller bore size on my marker, right? and with that, can i put any kind of barrel on my marker? please respond back to me through my e-mail address. thank you for you understanding that im new.

Dont know if many of you remember me, havent posted in a while. I decided to buy a new toy and spend some money. I wound up with a rare OTP cocker with OTP internals, ANS pneumatics, OTP dream series barrel. It shoots like a dream and I couldnt be happier (or broker, $1200. I bought it off of Arnold Francisco from Bob Longs Ironmen), but the best part is, I got to keep my F4. Wonderin if anyone has a spare cobalt blue body layin around in good shape, and Ken, I might hit you up for a vertical feed. Lemme know if anyone has anything. Ill have pictures up soon.

Just wanted to remind everyone of the 24hr game happening at jungle-island on june 21-22nd. I attended the last one and it was a blast. pre-register and save a bit on the entry fee and paint fee. just to let you know between me and my wife we made out with $160 in gift certificates. and they promised to bring even more stuff to give away this time. I belive last time they gave out a whole bunch of pod packs, jersies, an 02 cocker, gift certificates, a bunch of ricochet hopper (and not the cheap AK's).

I kinda want to tell you about it but it was so insane that I don't know where to start. lets just say it was pouring rain and the action was non-stop. The Psyco Clowns where in attendance and so was Bea Youngs. Oh yeah and my team WON!!!!!!!
