If it is a '98, the trigger frame will be an M-16/euro grip, and the '99s and newer have the .45 frame. If you're not immediately familiar with what that difference means, refer to Member Photos....MOST of the F4's you see have the '99+ frame, if you refer to Photos Page 1, the first picture of Mark's F4, that is a '98, and has the older style frame.

Among the '99+ models, I *believe* the newest (2002) models have a clear (silver) anodized trigger shoe, and a horizontal (not angled) bottomline adapter. All '99+ guns are essentially the same, except for maybe minor differences in production tollerances, maybe the newer ones are a *little* more refined and better made....I think ACI fixed a problem with the sear in early '99 models, so that's another difference.

Beyond that, all the TP, XP, DX....all that's really meaningless, except for what accessories the marker came with stock. There is no difference as far as the hardware itself.

I'm guessing you have a basic '99 model, and the previous owner added the V-bolt, barrel and X-chamber...My reason for saying this, is if it had come stock with an X-chamber (as the DX model does) the microline would have been unnecessary, as there is a steel braided line already set up for the correct length and such....The only reason to change from the stock steel line to micro or macroline, is if you change something, like add an X-chamber, or replace the bottomline adapter with one having holes in different places, etc.

I'm also guessing you have an angled bottomline, and therefore an older model (not 2002) because the newer, "bullet" bottomlines are rather tricky, if not downright impossible to work microline with an X-chamber. So I'm guessing you either have a stock DX model with a new BL adapter or drop-forward, OR a completely stock basic marker, plus X-chamber, Zero-G barrel, and V-bolt.

Oh, and when looking into the top of your X-chamber, you should not see any o-rings, just a little drilled hole of about 1/16 of an inch in size, near the bottom on one side, as well as *I think* the top of the big bolt that holds the whole thing together. There should be a single standard ASA o-ring in the usual place (Identical to what you'd find on the threads of your CO2 tank). That's it... You might do well to figure out where that o-ring came from. If it's small (about 1/4 inch), it's probably from inside the X-chamber when the guy you bought it from took it apart and didn't know how to put it back together properly. If it's shredded, check your front plug and see if it's o-ring is intact. Look into your vertical ASA....you should see nothing but two little holes on either side of a small 12 point bolt...there's no need to remove this, so don't even think about it. (in case you're like me and love to take things apart)

Good luck and have fun playing with your new super-blowback =)
