you could buy a reg instead of cutting your spring. but cutting the spring really isnt that hard. just cut one loop at a time test after every cut and you'll notice decrease in fps. if you mess up you can always buy a parts kit from aci it comes with springs. 14 bucks for the parts kit as apposed to 70 for a good reg. its up to you. if you hesitant about cutting your own spring ask where you play they might have a gun tech that can do it for you for a couple of bucks.
