Subject: barrels

Im really new to the game and i have a question. i bought a new marker. the bore size on the marker is .692. I want a new barrel, does it have to be the same bore size? from what i've gathered bore size only concerns the size of the paint you shoot. meaning, i could put a smaller bore size on my marker, right? and with that, can i put any kind of barrel on my marker? please respond back to me through my e-mail address. thank you for you understanding that im new.
