Well the field layout included 3 lay down beer cans (rounded ovals) on each end, two stand-ups in the corners (round, like tree trunks), a *large* taco (big triangles) comming from each side to the 50, and the flag station consisted of a stand up and three snakes (long, low bunkers). On the left (facing south) there was a long snake that stretched half the field evenly and to the right there was a series of three small doritos (triangles) with two small standups on the ends.

Gameplay was centerflag.

Game 1- We dominated the field, Russ (F4og Member) pushed up the right tape. I pushed left. Mike Dunn (A friend) played back. We took one on the right (We still aren't sure who pulled the elim, 10 pts). I had Mike put the head down on a guy in the snake as I proceeded to move and eliminate him. (10 pts) I crawled up the snake, got an angle on the final player and eliminated him (10 pts). I hopped the snake grabbed the flag (25pts) for the pull and took it to the end for a hang (45 pts). 100pts-A perfect game.

Game 2- Mike got hit on the break, I got hit on the way to the bunker but Russ made it down the right tape. He ran center and grabbed the flag (25pts). We took one of them with us (10 pts). 35 pts- Below par ;)

Game 3- We were dominated. I was bunkered in the snake (my own fault for hesitating on a snap shot with my left hand, I need to practice that).Mike (the back player) got hit by the player who took the snake and Russ followed soon after. Poor game, 0 pts.

Game 4- We came on determined (and full of Weinerschnitzel for lunch). Russ and I switched sides (so that I would not blow another play in the snake) and I did very well at pushing up the right side (we found our positions!) We took one on the break (10 pts) and two in the back of the field (20 pts) (I got one on my side, one after I flanked him on Russ's). Russ pulled the flag (25 pts) and ran it in (45 pts). Another perfect game - 100pts.

Game 5- We were out of the running for the higher spots but came out wanting to win. We'd spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to beat this team however things were monkeyed up when we were forced to switch sides (which we hadn't done all day). Mike got hit early on (there goes the back). I got hit in my run for the snake (there goes right) and Russ took it later on (there goes our players). Complete loss- 0 pts.

Our total was 235 pts putting us at tenth place (out of twenty two) and right behind ninth place (which ran 4 almost perfect games at around 375 or so). Next time we'll be more ready and hopefully do better. I'll follow up this post with a few things learned and a little advice.

Mav
