Sorry for taking soo long to respond lol err let me see here:

1. I don't know if I mentioned this but if after 6-8" you're not going to see a difference in ranges on pball guns (longer barrels=more range with bullets not spheres)

2. 14"s are used by Tippmann guys probably because the people who use those guns tend to enjoy the balance/length (and may be misinformed by the longer pball barrel=range)

3. Florida's a muggy place and moisture does effect the size of pballs (less=smaller, more (humid) =larger) besides CPs come in .689 (.685 and .692, I believe).
-Besides a little larger than the paint's less a problem than being too small (gas impact to the ball will probably create a fairly good seal, and +.001 isn't that big a deal in the scheme of things...)
