Subject: Open bolt pump gun?
In reply to: Big_Mac 's message, "posting problems" on 15:55:35 03/18/03 Tue

I just got to thinking, what if you carved it out so low that you could drop the pressure to say, 300psi, and lock the hammer forward, or even seal off the back side of the valve to PREVENT it from even trying to re-cock....you could maybe make (or have Ken make) a valve stem that would just barely slide in the back of the valve body...then make some kind of mod to the quickslide rail to allow for faster manual re-cocking....GAAAA I WISH I WASN'T A STUPID FRESHMAN IN THIS COLLEGE!!!! I WANT TO LEARN HOW TO MAKE STUFF!!!

Has anyone EVER made an open bolt pump gun before? I think it would be kinda cool...and it would probably be more gas efficient than a blowback semi.
