This applies to barrels in general, not just the Impulse:
Barrel length isn't going to make much of a performance difference here (How long of a SP AA barrel should you get). What will make a difference is how much barrel you are comfortable using. A longer barrel tends to be easier to aim down the side of because there's more of it. But a long barrel can get in your way when running or trying to tuck in to a tight or awkward space. Barrels shorter than 8"-10" are going to lack slightly in accuracy (refer to Mav's posting a few messages up). I tend to prefer barrels in the 12"-14" range. If it helps try to measure off on your gun how far the barrel will extend and ask yourself if it feels right to you.
