Subject: Mods update

Okay, managed to put some work in over the holidays. The basic aim of this is to get better efficiency (perhaps lower pressure) out of my 99 F4. Here is what I've done to date:

Valve: enlarged central cavity and outlet.
Valve pin: thinned shaft radiused at outlet end
Bolt: enlarged, radiused, matched and polished inlet
Striker: fully polished, chamfered back end
ASA adapter: removed 12-point solid bolt, replaced with drilled allen head bolt, #43 air inlets opened up with #36 bit and squared.
Bottom line: air inlet drilled out

All parts so far are modified stock (no cash outlay!) other than the allen-head bolt. I have increased the airflow area through the ASA (the most troublsome spot)450%. I haven't drilled for a gauge so haven't done any pressure testing yet. The marker still shoots and recocks using my 850 preset Bulldog II, so at least I haven't trashed the marker. Ordered my shooting chrony today, so fps/pressure tests should be on the horizon.
Mark has promised some space on the mods page for the pics and results of this effort when I get it thoroughly flogged (thanks Mark!). I'll put up new info as I get things done.
