Like he said the bolt's pry upside down, as for other culprits your spring may be worn down to nothing (which you may have to replace or seriously modify because of your original mod 'stretching') or you may have the velocity adjuster turned the wrong way.

Did your F4 come with an instruction manual? I think it have a pretty good problem/fix section that deals with this.
