Untrue on to many accounts. First. we are still operating on the Bush budget. Anything over and above that can be chalked up to a stop gap measure to fix the eight year Bush fuck ups. Name just one thing that the conservative mantra has got right in the last 27 years and I will hand you a bridge.

As far as the wars are concerned... We were handed those by a neo-con backed administration with no exit strategy in sight. A basic damned if you do, damned if you don't situation. We broke it, we bought it. Our biggest problem in this whole fiasco is in not understanding the terror and order our special forces can bring to bear. Regular infantry can clear back to the border and let the special forces do their damned job. A ghost can scare as many people a physical(sp) presence. Pull back. secure the border, and let the ghost take root in their world.
