I have said that I respect the team captain's decision no matter what and will stand by her decision not to enter a Cambridge team in the Warwick team match, hence why I am publically asking about amalgamating teams rather than trying to push through a 3-couple Cambridge team. She is aware that I am looking for a team to amalgamate with. All I am concerned with is the opportunity to dance, nothing else. My apologies if it came across as anything else, but I just posted in the hope of finding a team to amalgamate with. I'm sorry if people feel that this is inappropriate.

This has got nothing to do with tactics whatsoever, we just want the opportunity to dance the team match at Warwick instead of sitting on the side-lines. The Warwick organising committee agreed to the amalgamation of teams and when I CCed the standing committee in the discussion no questions were raised by them.
I was going by 2.1.4.5 and 2.1.4.6 of the constitution: so that an amalgamated "Cambridge - Uni X" team could compete and both return to independent status when they wished.

If the standing committee believe this is not possible then fair enough, but nothing was said originally. I thought Ali's proposal on amalgamated teams only held for IVDA and the new team match system, apologies if I misunderstood.
